This is a diamond that's recommended from whiteflash - eye clean. Would you consider the price is good for the quality? The inclusion is right in the middle. Does it effect the beauty and value of the stone? Also, how to read the ASET image on the report? Should I consider an ideal cut instead of an excellent cut? I originally thought that excellent is the best.

I am so sorry that there are so many questions as I am very new at diamond.

Here is the link: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2962077.htm

Thanks.

Of those 2 I like the H simply because the inclusions aren't concentrated right under the table - I can see the inclusions in the photo of the G, and that would bother me greatly.

What cut quality to aim for depends on what you value - if you want the mind-clean aspect of a super-ideal then I'd look at their ACA's. They are priced accordingly, so don't expect to get the same size / color / clarity as with an expert selection. That said, many ES stones missed being ACA's by a very small margin in some cut factor, and that difference likely wouldn't be noticeable to a layperson's eyes.

I would have to agree with ecf8503 I like the value in the H and even though there isnt a major difference in proportions I really like 40.8 pavilion angles combined with a crown angle around 34.5, just my taste though. Both are great diamonds and have been confirmed eye clean. To your original question on ideal over excellent, AGS ideal cut is much more exclusive than GIA excellent and IMO AGS ideals are undervalued compared to GIA excellent.

So I would save the 1500 and put it towards an awesome ring, you will not see the impact of a color grade from G-H but you will certainly see the difference an extra 1500 in a ring will make.
