Eternity band

Well I’m ready to buy an eternity band and I keep flip flopping on details. Not sure the jeweler is happy about that but hope he has patience w me so we can come to a final choice. Anyways I have an about size 4 finger, and I wanted to do 4.2mm round stones so I think that comes out to a little over .30 carats per stone. Do you think this is too big? Should I go slightly smaller? What would you ask to look at?

Also setting style, I had been set on a u-prong style but I saw something else, a wider set pave where the profile is really flush w the finger and I like that look. Thoughts on setting style for eternity band

I'm no expert, I'm afraid, but there are lots of people on here with eternity rings - it could be worth searching through the Show Me The Bling section to see what has been posted in pictures, so you can get an idea of size and setting options

Whatever you decide, definitely include a sizing bar...as you age you want your ring size to have the capacity to fluctuate...if necessary.

YMMV, but for me, I felt the u prong setting offered less protection for the girdle on the stone, one perfect hit & you'd potentially have problems. I have a basket setting as you can see in the pic.

& I'd love an eternity with .30's, that would be awesome!
