I''m thinking about resetting my ering which is currently in a WG simple solitaire, into something with sapphire or other colored accents.

I was hoping those of you with erings like that would share pics?

Hehe, it all started because I tried on this setting...

I think it looks very pretty. But, while the overall look of your ring will look bigger I think it might make your diamond pop less and look smaller? Just something to consider since it looks like the band will be about the same width as the center diamond. :)

Hi Making, just wanted to tell you from experience, that I had a setting; six prong solitaire setting with pave side diamonds, and put my stone into a 4 prong (you can see my avatar), with 2 side sapphires, and it looked a lot smaller! I actually am wishing that I hadn''t changed it... If you''re wanting your diamond to pop, I would suggest a six prong center head, with side sapphires, or whatever gemstone...or maybe a halo....good luck with your decision!

Hmm...good points! Thanks!

I would do side stones, but I''ve never really been a fan of the 3 stone look...

That is a pretty ring. I can''t wait to see what you come up with.

What a unique setting. Very nice.

I love this setting, it is so unique! I can see why you fell in love with it! Can''t wait to see what you end up doing!

I think it looks lovely

I''m confused. Is the sapphire in your avatar your engagement ring?
Or, are you thinking of resetting a diamond?

Oh wow that is really beautiful! Get it get it!

Oh no, the avatar is just a sapphire I have. My ering is a round brilliant diamond :) I just love colored stones, which is why I''m considering this type of reset.

It''s a beautiful setting

I love it!!!

MTG- you know what I''m going to say,,, is go for it (becuase I''m going to do it as well

you already saw what i''m doing), however, I think it also depends on how large the color sidestones are too to help make your diamond POP.

ok. Then I would keep the solitaire as it is and work on setting some of your colored gemstones as an alternate engagement ring on the days you want color.

You cannot go wrong with a classic solitaire, and it is already set.

In my opinion, colored gemstones look best with a bit of white to make them pop, so that will give you a chance to have the two toned look you want.

I LOVE it! If you look up my e-ring it also has sapphire accents. I think it makes the diamond pop *more* than the all diamond version which Tacori also makes. I also love having a more unique ring.

I absolutely adore it! But I am bias as my ering has sapphires sides. I think it makes the center stone stand out. Mine is a 3 stone and the side stones are large but it does not take away from the diamond because of the contrast of the white and the blue. That is a unique and stunning ring and I hope you go for it! I will try to post a picture of my ring as I have never posted a picture before....

very pretty ring! who makes it?

Tacori used to do lovely sapphire infused settings. Monica from the show Friends had one of theirs I believe(even though on the show it was supposed to be an old ring). The blue just makes the white diamonds seem whiter even.

I wouldn''t change my stones, but I do admit, some days I think the sapphires take away from the center diamond. But overall, they add to the whole so what''s a color loving girl to do but enjoy?

Saturn makes the most beautiful settings! It''s worth checking out in real life, the workmanship is fantastic.

The only think I didn''t like was that the gallery was too overworked for my taste, I would want something simpler. I might sent this photo to sally and discuss something similar to this but different, and maybe work the lotus into the gallery somehow...

Okay, I had a minute to look up an old picture of my e-ring. I love the hint of blue.

Perhaps in a similar way to this?

It''s a Sally design from the Show Us Your Lotus thread.

I''m really excited to see Wolftresses lotus halo! I''m not a halo person myself, but I like to admire them!

If anybody can help me find a comparable side-sapphires setting online, I''d much appreciate it! I"m trying to get a feel for different options and price points. I haven''t looked much at settings so don''t really know how much of the price on that setting I posted is for the designer name.

Some more pics

The gallery already has some lotus-like elements, which is probably what drew me to it as well :)

MakingTheGrade, look no further!! That setting is gorgeous! I also love Tacori''s. The touch of blue sapphire is devine!

I agree - I think that the color totally makes the setting pop!! It looks different enough from the typical engagement ring - fresh yet romantic.
