Hi all,

Firstly, thanks for taking time in helping. First time researching / in search of an engagement ring (solitaire setting).

Narrowed it down to looking for a 1ct / F or G / VS1 or VVS1 / 3X. I've used these search criterias along with some suggested specifications (e.g. table: 53-58% / 60-32%) and came up with the following at James Allen:

http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.04-carat-g-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-869622
http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.02-carat-f-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-1113158

1) Is there anything else that I should look out for in these diamonds?

2) For my budget - is there a better value combination that I should be looking at? Of course this is my max budget, but it would always be good to save a bit  if I can get something that appears the same / looks just as good.

Thanks!

I prefer the F stone over the other because it is hardly any higher in cost for a color grade higher and the cut is a little better. I would get it on hold immediately so no one takes it!

I think this one is a good buy and I'd just buy it as you won't get that color for that price very often and the medium fluorescence will be a non-issue.

Those are beautiful. Put on hold, and ask for an idealscope image to check light performance.

Idealscope aren't available for these couple of diamonds unless it is ordered - would it still be fine if I can't take a look at the idealscope images?

Either look great! As DS mentioned, the F is the same price basically and higher color. I'd get that one and not worry about an Idealscope. JA has a great return policy should you not love it... but I'm almost positive you will. [emoji1360]

I agree with msop. The F stone has the right numbers and I see no sign of leakage in the magnified photo. That's one I could buy without the idealscope.

Thanks for the comments guys! Unfortunately, somebody beat me to it and purchased the F color before me :wall: .

So back to the search....and came up with the following around my budget and considerations (1-1.05ct / G color+ / VS1+):

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.04-carat-g-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-869622 (the G color in original post)
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.02-carat-h-color-vvs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-1113154
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.05-carat-e-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-1112946

There are a couple that I saw on bluenile as well....

Would appreciate it if any of you guys can help me out and give some of your thoughts on these!
