Hi,

Thank you all for great and invaluable advices in diamond search given on this forum for my (or more, my lady) dream engagement ring. After some discussion with the colleagues from PS I think my final vote will go to the certain stone, however, I would be grateful if you can take a final look / sanity check and give me your thoughts.

It seems to be a good offer in terms of the 4C and the price tag, even comparing to the other non-premium sellers and it seems to be there since May 2017 (cert issue date - what may be a little strange if it is indeed a remarkable bargain).

I wanted to get the best possible cut (I see this one is not an ACA, but as WF mentioned it is due to the fact that some hearts have clefts, however also AGS0 may be little far from ideal). The eye-clean clarity (or very close to, but good enough for unexperienced eye) and color that will work just fine with yellow ring setting and white gold prongs (G was not a must). The size was expected to be resultant of the above with budget not exceeding 2000 USD.

PS. I still do consider these following “I-J” diamonds (https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/compare.aspx?idnos=4027048,3981508,3970261,3839999) (thx sledge) if the offer above would appeared to not be so great – perhaps heading more to the J ones if that is only one grade lower and 200 USD less than “I” (which is priced similarly to the “G” above) – unless there are no other factors I have missed or should take into account.

I was kind of prepared not to like your pick ... but I do. It’s quite nice! (my non-expert opinion, but I’ve also learned a lot here)

But ... the ACÁ ones do have nicer flashes in the videos ...

If you like the expert selection and it makes you feel happier with the compromise. I think it is still a beauty!

If I should pick, it would be an ACA.
The 2 J's seem to be good SI1, almost only "prongable" feathers.
The G color is whiter, but I would ask WF honest opinion about eye clean, because I don't like what I see in the picture.
I'm pretty sure I would pick the 0.654 J.
I don't know if you are color sensitive.

I personally would have picked the .65 J, but your pick is good as well!

well, this is what I got from WF regarding this G one:

„This diamond has great edge to edge light return, and is crisp and clear with great body color.
The inclusions do not impact transparency. Due to discrepancies in the hearts patterning and optical symmetry, this diamond does not meet our A Cut Above requirements. Looking at the hearts image, you will notice that some hearts have clefts"

...so?

Ask for a side by side picture with one of the J colored stones (your first choice). Ask if they can see anything at all in the G at like 6 inches (its hard to
focus much closer).
