EGL evaluations lack credibility?

I ordered a EGL stone not knowing any better. It was purportedly a G VS2. I had it mounted before viewing the stone in person which was a mistake. The color looks yellow from the side so I took it for two appraisals and they said it's J or K and not G. Clarity is SI1 but eye clean. Not sure if you can see the color in the pic but it's there. There's a tinge of yellow in the face up position but hard to capture.

oh man, sorry that happened to you :(. Hopefully you bought it from a reputable vendor, ask for a refund on the stone and if they don't agree I would link them to the lawsuits... THis goes a bit far but if you used a credit card you could contact them and find out what your rights are. I think that any vendor would know that they are being fraudulent.... anyone can see that is not a G color, G color looks colorless unless you're extremely color sensitive or comparing to a D colored diamond.

Sorry that happened, but hopefully you are still in your return period. Plus it is not as described. It is fairly easy to see the tint from the side. I guess it depends on how much it will bother you, price you paid and the fact you thought you were getting a G VS2. By the way, your setting is lovely! :wavey:
