I see you''ve had to resort to bribing them! I hope they appreciate the treats they''ve gotten today and produce some eggs for you tomorrow.

The girls had their first whole, new potoato this morning and loved it. They pecked and pecked at it, so funny.
I bought DH some wraps but he didn''t use them all before they became hard on the edges so I thought I would give one to the chucks and they LOVE wraps from Aldi. Love them. So far today they have had 3!
Do you think wraps + new potato = eggs?

You better start checking the coop for Rainbow flags.
I'm thinking you picked two ladies that like each other more than eggs

Aw Steel, don't feel that way! Hehe I think it's fun rooting for them!! It's so egg-citing! Just think how much rejoicing there will be when they do lay! Is there a typical average time hens take when brought home before they start laying again?
And that's so sweet that they'll let him pet them! I'd love to see a photo of that!
Awh, shucks. Thanks Luv.
21 WEEKS? Or 21 days?Date: 5/19/2009 5:57:15 AM

Seriously it can vary, around 21 weeks is the average so Eth and Aggie might not be there yet. When they do lay expect some teeny eggies or incomplete membranous ones to begin with until they get going!
Age 21 weeks is when they can begin to lay although this varies. about 5 months old give or take a bit is when they start egg production.Date: 5/19/2009 12:43:29 PM
