I have a beautiful cushion that I bought a few years ago just sitting around until I am inspired for a project and then I found another gorgeous stone that I like. It's close but not an exact match. Do you think they are close enough for an earring project? Not studs, but maybe the top stone for a stacked dangle or something like that, not sure yet. I just hate to pass up a pretty stone.

Have: 6.34 x 5.78 G Vs1
Found: 5.88 x 5.53 F Si1

I say "no" unless you really dont care. Your face will be in between them so it will be difficult for anyone else to see a size different (I think).

Thank you. Don't know why I didn't think to check that tool:lol-2:

I was thinking definitely no for studs, but maybe it could work for part of a "piece" since the focus is more on the overall look

I say yes. I have earrings that are slightly different sizes due to losing one and replacing with the best match I could find. I clearly notice the difference in hand, but don’t once they are on my ears. Sometimes i cut out the sizes on a label or the sticky part of a post-it and then stick on my ears to see how it looks. You could do a bezel or collette to bridge the size gap, or as you mentioned use as an element in statement earrings. How well does the faceting match?
