Earring jackets

I have a pair of diamond studs-1 carat each set in white gold with four prongs-friction backs. I am thinking about jackets and wonder how jackets would fit with a prong setting versus a bezel setting. I am concerned about the gap that the prongs would make around the jacket. The jacket would either be diamonds, rubies or sapphires. Does anybody have pictures of jackets with prong set diamonds? I am not a fan of bezel settings so a reset is not an option. Any help, comment or suggestion is most appreciated. Thank you.

Try going to the Show Me the Bling part of the forum and do a search for "jackets". There should be some threads. Most people have prong settings. It just depends on the size of the stones, the settings, and the jackets as to how they fit. Your best bet is to try ready-made ones and return if they don't fit well.

You can use both prong or bezel set stones in jackets as long as the jackets are the right size for the stones. Go to some local stores and see if they have any you can try. If not, call IDJ and see if they have any in stock that they could send you (at your expense, should you decide not to keep them) for you to check out.
