OK - picked up the e-ring ... not quite happy with the way the center stone was set so I will have to return it ... sigh. But overall I really love the design!! Thanks for sharing your (honest) opinions! Specs: ring size 7, 1.01 ct radiant and .08 side trillians in Palladium White.

I think it is pretty and am wondering what is wrong with it. Is the stone not set quite centered??? I hope that they can fix it up cause that is a beautiful ring, congrads

Yeah, centering issues and the stone is not quite level with the ring ... Oh well, I am not in a rush

Be in a rush to return it. It is off center but they are going to give you a hard time about redoing it I imagine. Are you sure you can trust them to do it right the second time?

thats a pretty design, however i would take care of it as soon as possible, let your jeweler know you are not satasfied

Pretty.

Regardless it is beautiful!

Thanks for your comments. And you are correct, I should address these problems ASAP (picked up the ring last Friday); what I meant is that I am not rushed to get the ring to the point where I am happy with it (no deadline here). I got word back from my jeweller (half an hour ago) that I should come by with the ring and that we can send it back to the diamond setter (she only made the ring but has to send it off to cast the stone). She is a great person and reliable so I am hopeful that we can work out the little imperfections that are making me less than happy right now!

I think it''s very pretty. Best to get it back soon so they can fix it. Don''t wait too long, or else they may give you a hassle.

That''s a BEAUTIFUL radiant and a stunning ring, but it definitely deserves to be set properly. It''ll look even more incredible once it''s all tickety boo

I know, I had the same reaction when someone said it to me last year! I googled the definition for us all...

tickety-boo
1. Going smoothly, doing all right. Copacetic. (I think this is what we want to happen with Rob09's ring)
2. Proceeding quickly.

This expression may have originated in Scotland, where it's the title of a popular children's song. A song called "Everything Is Tickety-Boo" was recorded by Danny Kaye as part of the film "Merry Andrew".

This expression is heard more often in Canada nowadays. May have originated in the British military. Possibly related to the Hindi expression "tickee babu", meaning "everything's alright, sir". Some people spell it "diggity boo" or "tiggity boo".

thanks pix!
i learn something new everyday

"Is it for you? It''s very nice!"

Yeah, giving yourself an engagement ring makes life so much easier!! No SO to look for, no waiting involved ... just have to figure out if I am going to say "yes" to myself, lol.
Better be in a good mood! No seriously, this is for my GF ... just have to wait for a good time to propose.

OK - got it back to the jeweller who is going to send it back to the setter. I could not convince her though that the trillians were set too deep - she said that this is the way it ought to be to protect the stones and that the setter would kill her if she did otherwise. Hm. Just hope that the second time around will do the magic! I had to promise her though not to contact her every day to check on the status of the ring. Lol. I gave the old lady my word of honor!
Not much love out here for a prongless setting without a round diamond ...!?

Very pretty stone, and beautiful design. I am glad that they are working with you as they should.

Proposing to yourself would be easier, wouldn''t it?

Are you the hand model in the photo or is that her hand? It''s a great ring. I really like the way the centre stone is set and the rectangular shape of it. That''s not something you see very often (and I mean that in a good way). I hope next time you have it in your hot little hands that you''ll be able to get more photos of it!

Thanks Addy! Hope to get it back soon and the way I like it!! That is my hand .... :-)
Not sure how to deal with the "hot little" without having my masculinity threatened, LOL Cheers!

OK - just got the ring back and it looks A LOT better. Will have pics up soon. I guess it will be difficult to see a difference online, but the re-setting of the center stone was badly needed! Now I can put it in my shoe box for another year ...

Why are you hanging onto it for another year?

WHATWHATWHAT?!

Isn''t it a criminal offense to hold onto an e-ring for that long?

Anyhoo,
I''m delighted that you were able to get that setting taken care of, but comon, that ring deserves to be enjoyed!
