I see we''re worshiping at the church of the rising sun once again. LOL.
Here are a few specs on the setting:
The melee is .14ct single cut G/H SI-1 , each being 1.2mm
The width of the halo is 1.3mm.
The height from finger to table is 7mm.
If you critcize one thing (other than fingerprints) when you get this beauty, I will personally come to California, slap your bu**, and then take off with the ring and our hero John.
Wait, am recovering! I LOVE IT! I love how cushiony the halo is - rather than super Octagonal. And the baby just looks S-N-U-G in there. A pretty girl with a perfect Mink collar or something, for those of you not opposed to fur.
Can''t wait for the hand shots & to hear ''bout your "in person" reaction!
Oh, wow, it''s GORGEOUS! I really love the halo-the outline of it it just devine. I hope you love it when you get it! And I''m glad it matches your picture in your head...it matches the picture in my head, too!
When I saw the pics of my ring before I got it I didn''t LOVE it, but once I got it in my hot little hands I did! I think it''s hard to get excited until you see it in real life and make sure it''s just right, ya know?
P.S. I know this is a dumb question, but what exactly is single cut melee? Full cut is just a regular tiny round brilliant diamond...right? So how exactly is single cut melee cut?
I LOVE the profile of the ring, the halo is what I saw in my head-- as Deco said, a little cushion-ey... I just really need to see it on my hand before I KNOW, ya know?
The shank is 2 mm thick. And the ring is part of an intended set, I plan to order two THIN pave bands, french style pave, with single cuts (also known as eight cuts, they have fewer facets than full cuts, therefore in small sizes will give broader flashes of light). My inspiration was MINE's stunning set.
I will HOPEFULLY have it on or before Saturday. If all goes well.
Gyp...in that last image I noticed how seamless the build is. The prongs are not just prongs...they flow with the lines of the stone and the halo. It is really a great work...from the stone all the way through the design of the halo. There are some halos that you get interrupted by a gap or a prong that is not quite right...but yours....poetry. WHITE. oh it is white. It is really lovely.
Yay, Gypsy!!!! It turned out GREAT!!!! I love it without the metal edge! It looks like Ocean really captured what you had in mind! I hope you LOVE it when you try it on!
WOW I was like OH (in a WOW way) at the side profile. I love how it has the look of a heart on the side with the view of the point and the setting, and then the top view just iced the cake.
What a magnificent ring I would be one impatient monkey to get that on my finger
Wow, the side view was wow,Im trying to take all the pretty details in. Im loving the peak a boo cutlet almost teasing, all about quality (you cant do that unless the stone is very clean). Im seeing a very delicate but interesting profile, all in great harmony and all very easy on the eye....and then kepow!!! The front view....its so perfect its hard to stop looking. Its like diamonds held together by invisible tiny threads woven by angels. Its just diamond heaven with nothing to interupt the scene. Its one of the prettiest settings that I have ever seen!
