I know. When the SA brought me the dress, I almost dismissed it, but decided to try it on anyway and was pleasantly surprised.
It''s the classic Valentino red. I''m 100% with you on matching the red dress with gold.
I think that is lovely. And PS, get a necklace to get it, I just think it is a mistake with that neckline, because the neckline is fairly detailed and dramatic and it is distracting. I almost always default to a great pair of earrings and bracelets.
For my son''s bar mitzvah, I am getting a stunning gown by Caroline Herrera. It is strapless because I wanted to wear my new big necklace, and really wanted NO competition from a strap or shaped neckline. But that red dress, the neck is integral to the design and I think you spoil it by adding in something else.
Seriously do you have someone you can borrow from?
I made the investment into 5 pave bangles, three white gold and two in yellow. I pull them out all of the time. I am getting two more and making them in an oxidized finish. I stack them and wear them with everything. They look great with jeans or I can dress them up. I am also looking at some of those rose cut diamond and blackened metal bangles, I think they are from India. They also can be dressed up or down, not amazing quality stones, but they do sparkle. Those are too casual for your red dress, but I think a gorgeous cuff or some pretty diamond bangles are classics. You would end up wearing them with so much.
and I don''t mean to threadjack (well, only a smidge), but you said you''re a lawyer in NY, right?
I''m graduating in a couple of weeks--any bar tips to help me not kill myself?
