My hubby proposed to me with this beautiful 1.82 VVS1, excellent cut, K, high blue fluorescence cushion cut about a year ago. I wanted him to sink his total budget into the stone. I am in love with her and could not be more satisfied about the fire and light show that she puts out. I sacrificed on color for cut and size but do like the warmth, although sometimes depending on my surroundings, she looks warm- which I don’t mind but I want her to look as white as she can. I love the look of vintage low set but I also like the look of a high sitting stone. I was hoping for some ideas from experts of what would possibly look best for this stone to enhance size, fire and without adding more warmth. Any ideas would be appreciated!! A halo would restrict the side view, which is where tint is most obvious, but you would have to use stones of a broadly similar colour, I reckon. Either that or go for colourless and really bring out the colour in the centre stone, as cflutist did with her Q-colour CBI stone
You have a really pretty set! What kind of styles do you like? Modern, vintage or antique looking, halo - and diamond, metal or gemstone?, three stone? What would the budget be as well?
I think if you give some info, people can help point some ideas out or vendors.
Maybe posting some pictures of what you like as a starting point would help too- your stone is a great canvas and you can go lots of ways with it!
Thanks for the responses. I’m not a big fan of halos so that option is out. My budget is about $3,500. I tend to wear mostly yellow gold currently but am ok with either white or yellow as long as it compliments my center stone. I was initially thinking of something with sapphire sides to pull from the yellow but am afraid of it looking too bold and me getting tired of the blue. I’m attaching some pictures of settings that I like. I am very active, so whatever I decide I want it to be easy to clean. Thank you for any opinions or ideas!!
