Does wearing a band make a halo ring look smaller?

Do any of you ladies who own halo's choose not to wear a band because it takes away from the overall size?

Not me. I had my halo specifically designed to wear with a flush fit band. And I prefer it with the band than standing alone.

Not in my (male) opinion

How large of a center stone, the outer diameter of the halo (how much coverage), and how wide or bulky the wedding band, and whether or not that band is shaped to hug the halo all have to betaken into consideration.

Here's a thread of wedding sets https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-your-wedding-ring-sets.24091/page-12

.52ct center

Here's a really large oval, with a delicate band curved around it.

I don't think either of those make the halo ring look smaller. If the wedding band doesn't fit flush against the e-ring shank, I much prefer to see a curved or vee-d or other contoured band worn with it, not a straight band with a gap.

That is a 1.4 ct RB.
I'll let you do the rest of the browsing of that thread, haha.

Braga, I don't wear a band with my halo, but not because it makes it look smaller - I think in my case I feel the vintage style details of my ering stand out a bit more without the band, and to my eye there just seems to be a bit too much going on. If I had opted for a plain shank halo, I would definitely wear a band. But to answer your question, no, I don't think a relatively thin band makes a halo look smaller.

I don't think a band makes a halo look smaller... Here's mine both ways:

I do not have a halo ring myself, but I do not feel a band makes the halo or center stone look smaller at all.

For every halo ring, there are several options that look best. Sometimes no band or a plain band or multiple stackers etc. It all depends on the shank (whether it is plain or has pavee) and overall look of the e-ring.
