Thank-you :) The only thing that concerned me was the twining wisps plotted however i'm told it's eye clean.

WF will tell you honestly ... as long as you understand their definition of “eye-clean,” you’re good!

“No inclusions visible to the naked eye of a person with 20/20 vision when viewing the diamond in the face-up position at a distance of approximately 10 inches under normal overhead lighting .”

Would the inclusions make the diamond hazy at all? With the additional twining wisps and graining not shown + the ones plotted, or would this exclude it from ACA? Thanks

I doubt it would be an ACA if it was hazy .... but if I were you, I would ask them to be sure ... WF will tell you honestly. Just to put your mind at ease.

Thank you I managed to get a response which sounds good :)

I think it looks great, and you have nothing to worry about.

I have an ACA that is SI1 with twinning wisps as the grade setting inclusion. It is completely eye clean. I can hardly see the inclusion with a loupe.

Looks like a great stone. My only advice would be to not knock G or H colour diamonds if you were just going with F because you didn't want to see yellow; if you wanted to save some £ or gain any size.

Thank you - I went for around 0.70 as I didn’t want anything too big but didn’t want anything too small either. Yes the F colour was to be 100% colourless although I believe G and H could look very similar as it’s well cut?

I have an I ACA and it’s colourless from the top, I do see a slight hint of colour from the side. You be fine going to G or H if you wanted a bigger stone.

Thank you I am happy with the size as I returned a 0.70 which seemed fine in size (my partner wants a dainty stone) - although I believe other countries like the USA over 1 carat is more the norm?

The USA is known for 'Bigger is Better' ;-) but here in the UK, we are perhaps 'less is more' in some cases!

0.7ct is a large stone for the majority of the UK but not 'showy' - my good lady wears a 0.67 superideal and it is discreet yet packs a fiery punch! :))

When you get it and it's on her finger, you can go and look at diamonds in the shops and realise just how awesome the superideals perform when compared to the usual rubbish over here ;) :) and how much you've either saved (because cheaper for a given spec) or how much better colour/clarity you've achieved in a given size for a given price!

@FearlessSmile I hope that you’re as happy as I am that you found PS before buying, with your ACA and your experience with WF. You did good, sir! Just wait until you see a super-ideal in the direct sunlight ... may not be great for your retinas, but it will be great for your mind, lol.

Haha thank you sir! :) yes very grateful, everyone has been really informative, understanding and not patronising at all :)
(Especially since I’m a complete noob)

I actually can’t remember how I found the site think it was from Paul Jann 4C’s.

Regrettably i did purchase I triple GIA thinking it would be amazing, perhaps the 41.4 pavilion was an issue but I also believe GIA round average and round again so I guess you have no idea without other tools like ASET and Idealscope.

Fortunately the company had a 30 day return policy :)

Haha yes 8-)8-)8-)8-)

The ring I’ve ordered is 950 platinum and the rest is Cobalt. Is the cobalt part bad? Thanks

Like gold, platinum has to be mixed with other metals to create stronger alloys.

That is why you have 9kt, 18kt and 22kt gold, for example.

Ruthenium and Cobalt are both options that can be alloyed with Pt, in different mixtures (e.g. 900 or 950, being 90% or 95% Pt). One is stronger but more brittle IIRC, but both should be faaaaar stronger than you would ever need to survive day-to-day wear :)

Have a search for 'cobalt' and 'ruthenium' and you should have some other posts with (better ) information in them :))

To echo some of the comments, I recently purchased an F SI1 super ideal diamond with twinning wisps. It is eyeclean, with no transparency issues, and really sparkles in the sunlight. I think you'll be happy.
