WORDLE is an on-line word game.

Each day there is one five-letter word. Just. One. Word.

You get six tries to figure out what that word is.

Each time you enter a word, the puzzle identifies which letters, if any, are in the mystery word but in the wrong spot with a yellow square. Letters that are in the mystery word and in the right spot are identified with a green square.

That’s all there is to it!

And yet… this game is about as addictive as an only-one-game-per-day game can get!

I can’t seem to post the coloured squares from my iPad. Every time I’ve tried, I just get plain empty boxes showing up.

I picked the wrong first letter twice before I finally got it!

I figure there are four words that use that combination of the last four letters. So if you get to where your last four letters are green, you have a one-in-four chance of guessing the correct word - unless you’ve already eliminated some of the potential starting letters in earlier tries.

My sis, her two teens, my DH and I were all playing Wordle together last night. I almost forgot yesterday! It was super fun to have all of us tossing words in. My sis resorted to pen and paper to unriddle the letters. With a lot of fun, we got it in four.
