Dumb luck. My opening word was from another online word game I played earlier this morning.

got it in two today. just luck of course. I still can't get the results to copy into my posts. The green squares disappear once I post it. What am I doing wrong? I had to text it to myself, take a screen shot, then upload it.

Now you’ve got me trying to figure out your starting word - I could only come up with one option. Hmm….

Here’s mine for today. My second word was an “unforced error” - I forgot to use the yellow letter from my first word. (What can I say? I was in the middle of a sleepless night.) Fortunately I got another yellow letter anyway.

I've enjoyed Wordle for a few days but now I'm also enjoying "Evil Wordle"-- a free site: https://swag.github.io/evil-wordle/
You can play it multiple times per day. Each time you start a new game it generates a different word, based on the letters you choose.

"How does it work?

"There's no word set by default. Every time you guess, I look at all possible 5-letter words that would fit all your guesses, and choose the match pattern that results in the most possible words. My goal is to maximize the amount of guesses it takes to find the word."

Well I do now! I also got DH doing it. I think he's overthinking things. He's very methodical. I play with wild abandon and don't spend too much time strategizing. We have both gotten them so far, but I'm faster.

I love this game when I remember to play it. My daughter just turned me on to it.

My DD has me playing it, but is rather upset because I solve them too quickly for her liking. I do think it helps to be old and have learned how to strategize for various games over the years.

Here’s one thing I’m really enjoying about this: My youngest brother and I don’t communicate much for some reason. But he likes word games (and he’s generally better at them than I am!) and I introduced him to Wordle almost as soon as I found out about it. Now we text each other our (hidden) results every day, and occasionally even chat about our word choices. It’s nice to have that excuse for some regular contact, however brief.
