Do you think this depth % was a typo?

Says 40.8% depth
If that wasn't a typo I'm assuming this round is a no go?
Thanks!

It's not correct.

40.8% is most likely the pavilion depth, not the stone's total depth.

The measurements are given, 9.04 x 9 x 5.63 mm.
You calculate the depth percentage by dividing the diameter by the depth.
Then multiply that by 100.

The first two numbers of the measurements are the largest and the smallest diameter.

5.63/9 = .626
Then multiply by 100 to get percentage.
.626 x 100 = 62.6%

So yes, that 40.8% is a typo.

Great thanks for the clarification! So would you say this adds up to a nice stone on paper?

The depth percentage is the depth in mm divided by the AVERAGE diameter of 9.04 +9.00=9.02 times 100 which is 61.7%, a fairly nice, normal depth.

Round depth percentage uses average diameter while fancy shapes use depth divided by the minimum width measurement x 100.

40.8 can be Pavillion angle not pav depth. 40.8 Pavillion is most likely a 43% pav depth or around that zip code. Pav depths are reported to the nearest .5 percentage.
