I have a bunch of hearts, but no photos, I KNOW, WHAT''S NEW! Anyway, I''m working with 23rd Street Jewelers and they are going to make a necklace for me. I don''t know what color sapphire I will use yet, but it will look something like this.

Wow, what a great collection of hearts. Here are my heart rings.

This is my amethyst. I have earrings and a pendant to match.

This is a RHR.

I also have a bezel set garnet heart ring but can''t find a picture right now. I have a bracelet with heart shaped garnets that goes with that. I guess you can tell I love hearts. I have a diamond heart pendant (the open heart with small round diamonds) and a WG heart pendant that has my original ering diamond in it.

These are not mine (I wish). Here is a suite of fancy colored diamonds.
Wow, that is some collection.

I have never been into heart stones before, but after looking through this thread I may have to look around for one. I always though they kind of looked a little childish, but these are some great jewelry pieces.

Thank you, Skippy and marcyc.

Marcyc, the colored stone hearts you show are well executed. The notch and the smooth curve of the "ears" is difficult to do.

I know hearts are not popular, but maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic.

Here's mine. The center stone is a 2.56 SI2 cleftless heart.

ETA: MarcyC, I love your rings! The colors are beautiful. There's just something about hearts...

Gailey!!! How are you, sweetie! I''ve been thinking about you this week.

Thank you for the kind words.

I don''t want to hijack this thread, but I posted pics in the SMTR Forum.

Thank you Zeolite. I agree the right notch and ears makes the difference.

Thanks, Platinumrocks. Your heart ring is gorgeous.

Now I do. I met a collector here who gave me a big red heart set in yg as a pendant. It could be a rhodolite. But, even if it''s synthetic, I don''t mind because it was given with affection.

I''m getting a heart in the mail, if it''s nice, I''ll post pics.

WHAT??? Oh, do TELL!!!

Is it a diamond or a colored stone???

How many carats???

ETA: MarcyC, thank you for the kind words! We heart owners must unite!

Zeolite, that rhodolite heart is simply yummy! I love the color.

It''s 1.76 carats and it''s a colored stone. I typically don''t like hearts, but this was the last one they had in such good cutting and color, and this is pretty rare material in over a carat, well it''s pretty rare material in any case. I''m hoping to make a ring if the color turns out good. If it doesn''t, well, it''s going back. The cutting is great on this stone, especially for a heart. Hint - it''s NOT a tourmaline.

Harriet, have you posted pictures of your pendant? Sounds pretty.

Platinumrock, I have quite a few hearts if you count the earrings, pendants and bracelets I have too. We are certainly in a minority here liking hearts.

Tourmaline Lover, I can''t wait to see your gemstone.

Marcy, what is it about your heart stones that you love? For me, it''s the rounded curves and romance. I know, it sounds cheezy.

I''ve never been into hearts before, but I fell in love with the shape and color of my stone. It''s definitely not run-of-the mill. Plus, I''m attracted to shapes with rounded/curved corners as opposed to angular.

TL, is it a true pinkish/salmon Imperial Topaz? They are pretty rare.

Harriet, I second Marcy''s request for pics of your heart pendant. I would love to see that!

PR,
No it''s not a topaz. It isn''t a peachy stone at all.]

TL, you should create a "Guess My Heart Stone" thread!

You can say "Warmer or Colder" with each guess.

I was able to guess Freke''s ring price, and I was off by 4 cents.

I''m afraid to because if it''s ugly, it''s going to probably be returned. Let''s just say I''m taking a chance with this one.

Come on TL, give us a little hint

It''s from Africa. Is that a good hint?
