Hi All,

I finally settled on a new setting for my diamond. I don't know much about spacer bands, but have been reading up on them a bit on here. In order to preserve the stones and prongs on my rings, is it important/necessary that I get a spacer band? And, if so, what style and color do you recommend? The bands are 18K gold.

Here they are:

Thank you for your time and advice,

Hi Carrie! Beautiful rings! But yes, I would only wear them together with a spacer. I could imagine those teeny diamonds chewing & scratching each other. I would personally wear a super skinny band in a white metal or maybe a rose gold?

Very pretty rings! I would definately wear a spacer. I wear a .75 mm spacer between my solitaire and eternity. I have a rose gold spacer and I love the contrast it gives. Can you have your jeweler make one for you so it is the correct height?

I agree, definitely! Since there's very delicate work on the inside of both rings I'd get a spacer in between to protect them.

If you are getting married fairly soon I would ask that they do not put the diamonds in one side - then always wear your wedding ring on that side.
Those little diamonds will chop thru a spacer very quickly too.

yeah, that's very true! and a good idea!

Thanks so much for your input! It definitely sounds like a spacer is a good idea. I like the rose gold spacer idea too!

Thanks!!
