I found an amazing diamond and and chose to purchase it through JAMESALLEN (although WhiteFlash had the same one posted).
Spoke to Josh on Tuesday morning. I wanted one of his guys LOOK at the diamond in person to make sure it was eyeclean. Josh assured me that it was eyeclean.
Then I mentioned that Whiteflash had the exact same stone and he thought that was interesting because it was one of JamesAllen''s stone. So he put me on hold to make some phone calls and comes back saying, yes we have it, it''s ours. I was so excited!!
He gave me a total and emailed me the with directions on how to wire money to them.
I went on Tuesday during lunch to wire the money. The money went out immediately.
I called JAMESALLEN to see if they had received the money. Not yet.. I''ll have to wait for tomorrow. The suspense is killing me!!
Wednesday came and I called them in the morning. No money yet... Half waythrough they day... I call and spoke to Josh. Josh said that they didn''t find the paperwork for my account until this point. But it was too late to send it out. I''ll have to wait for them to send it out in the morning. I''m dying to see this diamond!
Thursday morning, Josh calls me to tell me... THEY DON''T HAVE THE DIAMOND... it''s been gone for two weeks and they never updated their systems. It was taken back to GIA to be re-cut... Hopes of my lovely diamond seem to vanish
When I originally called to inquire about it, all Josh and the others did was check their systems. Nobody ever thought to go and pull the diamond to make sure it was there.
They are going to refund my money but it won''t be wired back to me. I have to wait for them to cut me a check. That won''t happen for a couple days. Then I''ll have to wait for it in the mail.
Josh is trying to find a comparable diamond to sell me. It was very difficult to find the one that I did find in the first place. I''m not sure how this is going to fall out. I did tell Josh that I do want them to find me something so that they may save the relationship. I still feel unhappy and am not sure what to think at this point.
I did have another diamond that I was looking at: what are your thoughts?
