Did I make a mistake buying this loose diamond..

Hi all, I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place for this, I just have no one else to ask.
I’m picky about rings but know that my dream ring is an east to west solitaire diamond, ideally, yellow-brown/champagne.
I sort of impulsively purchased a loose stone, and I have 24 hours to reverse that decision. Would anyone be able to help me decide if I made an acceptable purchase. I love the look, it was $1,780. The more I read about GIA reports the less confident I feel in making a choice.

It's not a bad stone persay, but I wouldn't call it champagne. It's much more brown, and i suspect will be darker in real life. Can you include a pic of your ideal color?

The inclusions are not on the table and I’m guessing that it will lean toward a warm rootbeer shade when set. It is not obvious from the photo how visible the feather is since some can be quite obvious in SI2 grades. Since the feather is the grade setting inclusion, was it obvious to you when you examined the diamond? Good symmetry could potentially be an issue but would have to be seen in video or in person. If you haven’t seen the diamond in person, can you return if it is not what you want?
It has the potential to be an attractive stem.

Honestly I don’t mind the color of this particular stone, I do think it’s beautiful. I’m just sort of ignorant and want to make sure I’m getting something worth the price I paid.

Yes. Honestly the only reason I would return is if it looked vastly different in person/the inclusions were too noticeable. I’m not educated enough to have a strong opinion off the GIA report.

After seeing the listing and more videos it looks promising. And the price is fair. Especially since you have time to return.

If you like how it looks on the vendor website and the price is acceptable, then next step is seeing it in person. You should love it and it should bring you joy. If not, return it.
