Hi everyone!

I just ordered a small diamond wedding band. Much like the marquise-dot-marquise pattern in yellow gold. It’s a thin band being a little less then 2mm. I have an I color stone in a yellow gold solitaire setting.

My question is:
do you think it’ll make my stone look more warm if they use better color diamonds in that little band?
Or is the standard color for these little bands H?

Thanks everyone! I don’t know too much in this area of jewelry or diamonds

I’d go with H or I stones in the wedding band. I love yellow gold too.

There is no "standard color" for diamonds in bands. The webpage will usually tell you what color the stones are. If it does not then you will need
to contact the vendor and ask. Small stones almost always appear whiter than bigger stones because they are too small to see the color in. Usually
if they are within 2 color grades of your main stone we consider them fine. If you are color senstive to these things then you may want to go try on
some bands with different colors so you know what is acceptable to you.

Thank you @tyty333!
That explains a lot. I’m not buying from an online vendor so I was debating if I should even bother asking the guy making it.
