Diamond vendor and/or settings in GREECE

Just thought I would ask if anyone has any experience or knowledge of jewellers in Greece? very much on the off chance that someone replies as this is a predominately American forum. nonetheless I can only hope!!

I’m not from Greece, but from Austria. You are completely right, this forum is mostly American, but there are also a few Europeans Asians here.
Back to your question: I’m sure, that you get the most for you money from the vendors known on this forum, even if you have to pay VAT. The prices in Europe are very high, and the craftsmanship is not as good.
What kind of jewelry are you looking for?

Obviously its not a bad thing at all! I'm just trying to decipher if there is such a vast and rich availability in Europe. I primarily live in London, although I am greek and my wedding will be in Greece.I am looking for jewellery which has diamonds in it haha

Most of the major vendors here have international shipping experience. You would want to confirm 1) the shipping and insurance and 2) VAT and customs. I know for us, depending on what country we are sending the jewelry to, there are different shipping hurdles and details. So it might be better for you to have the jewelry mailed to England than to Greece, and your vendor would be able to advise you there.

Also if you aren't in a hurry, I don't know if you know this but at the end of this month (24th-26th) is a major holiday here the states that coincides with sales and promotions. So I would ask anyone you talk to if they are having any sales or promotions, and if they can give you details even if there is nothing on their sites yet (some wait unitl midnight to list their specials).

I think someone on the boards said that some vendors were doing pre-sales (I don't recall more than that) and others were doing month-long promotions or promotions one day a week and so forth. So it might pay to ask to see what your vendor of choice can do for you.
