Diamond for stud earring, are they a good choice?

I lost one of my diamond stud. I really miss wearing them. I have decided to just buy another pair.

- ideal cut
- around 0.4 ct each
- color k
- in a 4 prong platinum basket setting

I found these 2 diamonds, they seem to be matched nicely.

My concerns are the clarity, they are SI1. The clarity plot of the second one looks kind of scary to me. Should I pass, and wait for something in VS2?

Thank you so much for reading.

These are brand new stones and they look lovely based on the certificates. I would ask them to upload the videos in order to make sure that you like the stones, but in my experience BGD evaluates their stones for eye-cleaness. I have had two SI2 stones one at 1.5ct and one at 2 that were completely eye-clean. Especially for earrings, I wouldn’t be concerned about clarity ;)

Thanks @SimoneDi. I think I might just let this one pass. I don't like the second diamond - the knots, feather. Maybe I should just wait for something matching with better clarity from either WF And BG.

WF has plenty of stock in the range you’re looking for: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/diamond-pairs-search.aspx

I used parameters of .80-.84ctw, J-K color, VS1-SI1 clarity, and ACA cut. There are 17 pairs at $1700 and under, with the least expensive being $1550 (they’re K/VS2)
