Diamond and Ring Questions

I think I have found a diamond that fits the specifications and price range (under 5500) I am looking for on Whiteflash. Does it look like a good diamond or can I do better?

Also, I have read the online resources about metals but I still don't understand which is better, and 18k White gold or a platinum?

I don't see anything better. It's a lovely stone. Are you sure the wearer wants a round?

I would go for platinum if the wearer wants white metal.

The wearer has tried on some in stores and prefers a round stone and a white metal solitaire setting.
