Hi all!

I’ve been researching cushion diamonds for the past few weeks for the center stone of an engagement ring. The cushion will be set in a French Cut Pave band. I have narrowed it down to three (3) diamonds (thanks for the recommendations, Gypsy!).

Which diamond is your favorite?

Option 1:
https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Cushion/GIA-Certified-1-7-Carat-E-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-1HDRD1

Option 2:
https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Cushion/GIA-Certified-1-81-Carat-F-Color-SI1-Clarity-Diamond-LU7T7D

Option 3:

Do any of the three (3) diamonds stick out above the rest? Would it be wise to look elsewhere?

As always, any and all assistance is valued immensely. Thanks, everyone!

Hi Rockchalk: I like the first cushion best. However, I feel that you owe it to yourself to contact Yekutiel at ID Jewelry. Below is a photo of the cushion ring he made for a my nephew a few weeks ago. 1.70 I VVS2 cushion cut stone with a pave band and pave crown. I can tell you that the stone is excellent and the entire custom made, platinum setting with the stone was done at a very reasonable price. The photos do not do this ring justice. Just food for thought? :wavey:

Gypsy chose very nice stones for you, she's quite the pro.

You guys are awesome! My only concern with the first diamond (my favorite as well) is the 3 small crystals towards the middle of the diamond. Am I overthinking these crystals/inclusions?

Remember that the photo of the stone is magnified. If you shrunk the photo down to the actual size of the stone, you may not be able to see those crystals with the naked eye. You should contact Joshua at Enchanted Diamonds and discuss your concern with him regarding the crystals, be sure that the stone is "eye clean" and have him describe what he considers to be eye clean. Most VS2 stones are eye clean however there is sometimes an exception. And speak with him about the strong blue fluorescence. Be sure that it doesn't have a "cloudy" or "milky" effect on the stone. Most of the time fluorescence isn't an issue but you should always confirm this. It's a beautiful diamond!

What Queenie said.

Also, that second stone is great too. I just really like the smaller table on #1. But if the first one doesn't work out, I have no problem recommending the second as well.
