Deciding between 2 diamonds...help needed (pics inside)

I kind of need to make a decision today if possible, so any help would be appreciated!

Here are the two stones I'm trying to decide between. Any insight that I may be missing (even if it's obvious) would be great.

I definitely want something that is eye clean (can't see it with the naked eye) and a diamond with minimal bowtie effect (how do these look?). GIA certified. I don't really notice the color in anything other than jewelry store lighting, outside they all look pretty darn similar, though I haven't seen a J so that is my concern there. Also, both have a "strong blue flouresence", which I heard only negatively effects about 1% of diamonds and bluenile has told me that neither of these are effected. Also, bluenile's website says that the cut is "very good" on both, any reaffirmation of this by the pictures to anyone here? Depth/Table/etc all seem to be in the correct %'s for a well cut diamond.


1.) 1.52ct, Oval, Cut: Very Good, I color, 1.33 ratio (8.88x6.67x4.15), Depth: 62.3% Table:54% - $7,332
They told me that this is eye clean and that the picture is at 50x magnification. Your thoughts welcome!

Of those 2, I'd say the first one. Don't like the bigger table on the 2nd one.

Did BN take both of those pics? You really can't tell much about that second one - they need to be consistent with their photography techniques.

Color preference is subjective, of course - I have a D, several G's, and 2 J's, and love them all equally.

Love the SB fluor on them though! Bonus!

Can you tell me why you don't care for the table on the 2nd? They both fall into the Excellent/Very Good criteria I found here:

But I honestly don't know why one would be preferred over the other?

Do you believe the inclusions will be visible based on the picture?

I thought fluor was a bad thing?

Edit: Bluenile supplied both pics, but from what I understand the diamonds are located at other sellers across the world and pics etc will vary from each place. I don't believe bluenile actually owns most of their diamonds, but if I am wrong, someone PLEASE correct me.

I personally would prefer a smaller table, as it usually lends itself to more fire (colored light return, which I like). I just think the second stone is shallow, with the depth smaller than the table, and may be a bit lifeless.

Are you stuck on BN for some reason? I wouldn't recommend buying a fancy stone without an ASET to assess light performance first.

I'm definitely not stuck on BN, but they do seem to have the best prices I've seen so far. They also can get me the diamond next day to have it set by the weekend as we're leaving for vacation on sunday (whole thing was last minute).

Thank you for the link. Is the ASET test something I can ask for from these online retailers? I have 30 days to return the diamond if I don't like it, but I'd like to avoid that situation if possible.

EDIT: Here is another I found, no pics but I will be inquiring. It seems this one (on paper) is better than both above, and cheaper than the $7,332 one. any thoughts?

Oh - are you trying to fit a stone into a specific existing setting? You need to look at the measurements of the stones then, not just carat weight. What's your budget?

My budget is max $7,500 for the diamond. The dimensions I need to fit are within .5mm either way of 8.5mmX6.5mm, 1.33ish ratio.

Any thoughts on that 3rd diamond?
