decent inexpensive tester ?

I'm looking for a decent, not expensive, diamond tester. I guess I also want it to test for moissanite. Any recommendations? E-bay ones are fine, also. Thanks so much.

I use a Presidium Multi Tester III. Identifies diamonds and moissanite. You can also use it to tell if a watch has a sapphire crystal and a few other tests of interest if you understand heat absorption properties of gems.

For mossanite testers, they are usually really expensive and may cost you several hundred dollars. To save costs, you might want to get something cheap like this.

This only tests for most stimulants but not moissanite. The easiest and far more accurate way to check for moissanite is to look for doubling. This webpage explains it quite well.
