Platinum. That's what the original Tiffany bracelets are made of, and platinum never has to be replated.

I echo platinum as well. The wear & tear on a bracelet can be significant, and platinum will hold up its metal color far better than white gold, which has to be replated. Plus, I like the way platinum looks vs white gold.

diamonseeker2006 (or anyone!) what size chain do you recommend for a 5 stone 10pt each dbty bracelet? 1mm or 1.5mm?

Thanks again!

Does your skin eat through rhodium? If so, then platinum. Do you have nickel allergies? If so, then platinum.

Otherwise, if you don't have any allergies and don't eat through rhodium, go WG.

1mm is a super fine chain for a necklace - and SUPER fine for a bracelet. I'd rethink this.

Do you think 1.5mm would look ok with 5 10pt diamonds? It appears the 1mm is pretty standard for DBTY bracelets??

If it's any encouragement, jewels2, I'm planning on doing a DBTY necklace with - you guessed it! - 10 pt stones. I think necklaces get far less wear and tear than bracelets, and I'll be using a 1.5mm chain at least. For what it's worth, I also think the bezeled diamond stations on a very fine chain don't look as good as on a slightly more robust chain; I think a *very* fine chain makes them look sort of lumpy and clumsy. I like a better visual flow than that - delicate, but diamonds and chain still on the same page, visually. And 1.5 is hardly heavy, so I think it would be fine.

My bracelet has 15 pt stones and the chain is 1.5mm. I was told Tiffany used 1.5mm chain, but you might want to verify that. I think 1mm is too thin for a bracelet, but I would see if there is an option like 1.25, perhaps.

If a piece of jewellery is to be worn daily, then I would have it made in platinum as it does not require re-plating.

I called Tiffany cs and was told their chain is 1mm. I actually have a Tiftany dbty bracelet but it is in silver. The chain IS very fine, actually I break it a lot :nono: soooo maybe a 1.5mm would be better.
I just wasn't sure if 1.5 was too big for only 10 pt diamonds.
I do love diamondseekers bracelet
