Hello Everyone,

Please see the attached CAD images... Let me know what you think. Anything i should change? Any concerns i should address?

Do you think the diamond is set too high? should i request to lower it? What do you think about the Melee diamonds. I thought they were many smaller ones that is represented. Let me know your thoughts

Overall i am pleased the way it looks. I am excited for the end product. Hope its worth all the money i spent

I think all that empty space below the stone needs to be filled with diamond. They should lower the stone a little. Or maybe the stems are too tall?

I agree, I would lower the whole top (shorter structs).

What kind of wedding band are you going to wear with it? You will probably
Need a spacer due to the pave on the donut (bottom of the basket) .

Yes im going to request to lower the the stems so it sits lower. There is a lot of space. That was one my concerns in the begging. I havent thought too much on the wedding band yet.

I wouldnt want to do a spacer. BG mentioned it wouldnt scratch the wedding band. Should i request to remove some of those diamonds by the donut?

I paid for those melee diamonds though. i dont know how i feel about removing them. Let me know what youu guys thing.

I would remove the melee on the donut. And I would lower the stems/head. Otherwise it looks fantastic.

Ditto. If a wedding band is going to be worn with it, I'd remove the melee on the donut so it doesn't scratch the wedding band.

I am following up with BG regarding CT weight of my melee diamonds. I have a few concerns regarding that.

Also, I thought this page was helpful comparing my halo ring vs others (sent to me from my original posts)

Updated CAD to lower the halo by rotating the pillars.

Thoughts?

I am going to keep the melee on the donut.

It still needs to be lower. That's a lot of dead space under the stone. I also think you should remove the melee on the donut. You seem really conscious about how much you spent (and that's fine), but don't let it distract you from the goal of creating a beautiful cohesive piece of jewelry.

If you are not the wearer, take the melee off the donut. Don't give your lady a ring she can't find a band for safely. It's a WASTE of your money. Her ring can't play nice with a band she likes. So... she's resetting.

Tell BGD to send you the stones loose. And if you ever have damage -- knocking it somewhere or slammed in a closet door-- to the ring, you can send those in and they can use the extra stones to fix the setting for you. Or you can send them in if she wants a matching diamond band and they can use them for that.

And I agree that the head should still be lower.

I should clarify. I summarized in my words BG explanation. I don't think you should be surprised... I am sure they have thought through a wedding band that associates with the ring.

Ill discuss some more regarding the wedding band with BG.

Gypsy what if we did a custom wedding band to sit flush with this donut.. also what about tacking the band on at the bottom so it keeps the structure.

The wedding band is her choice. I REALLY wanted a straight continuous band I could wear on it's own. Halos are not the most practical rings when you have certain lifestyle issues, pets, work outs, children... so I wanted a regular band for my wedding ring so I could wear it as a stand alone.. So when I had my halo made I had it designed with flush stems. And I do wear only my wedding band often. Most of the time honestly.

I'd personally want to give her as many wedding band options so I'd do away with the donut completely. But it's a preference thing. So when you chose this design, I assumed you had a preference for the donut. But I did tell you then that the pave on the donut is a good thing to remove.

And some people like the little gap a donut gives with straight bands.

So I may not be the right person to ask. But the lady you are buying for sure would be.
