Cushion Style Halo setting for a .81 Radiant

I'm going back and forth on resetting my .81 Radiant solitaire into a halo setting. I prefer the look of the simple micropave rounded edge cushion halo as opposed to the more square bulkier halo that I find most Radiant halos have.

Any links or photos to help me envision what this setting with my diamond may look like?

Thanks! :loopy:

I'm currently having a halo setting made for a square original radiant cut. I too debated on the cushion vs. a more angular shape.
The first wax was a cushion, and I opted to change it to the angular. I really like the clipped corner outline of the radiant cut, and I decided that I wanted to stay true to the diamond's shape, and have the halo follow the exact outline with no gaps. Below is the picture I used for inspiration. I do think the cushion shape is very pretty as well, and does give a bit softer look.radiant_halo_0.png

Thanks smn1231 :)

Your inspiration photo is gorgeous!

I agree with the "softer look" comment about a cushion halo. I think that is why I'm drawn to them so much. Although, you brought up a good point about a gap b/t the radiant and cushion. Was it a very noticeable one? I think I could handle a minor one, but nothing too noticeable where it looks like it's not even touching the stone!
