Cushion cut for ~6k

Hello, I'm looking for a nice cushion cut. My budget maxes out around 7k for the diamond and setting so I'm thinking about putting most of the budget into as nice of a center stone as I can find and then have a fairly basic setting kind of like these- http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-ring/white-gold-engagement-ring_12962?track=product&elem=image

Another different direction would be to go the halo route, but I'm not sold on cushion cut halos. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I feel like I've been sold so much my mind is spinning!

I realize this isn't going to get me a very large stone, but I'm trying to get around 1ct with an excellent cut if possible. Thanks in advance for any help!

dont care for the first setting at all..$7,000 will get you a nice cushion have you looked at GOG?

Is that too rectangular for you?

It's probably about as far as I'd want to go, would like to keep the length to width at less than 1.1 if possible.
