Hi All,
First time looking at a ring and I found a ring at a shop that is a brilliant cut with 34 deg crown and 41.5 deg pavilion. After researching this forum I saw an ideal scope image of a 34/41.2 (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/41-degree-pavillion-angle.65301/) which had no leakage.

Has anyone reviewed a 34/41.5 before? I saw it in real life under sunlight and there was fire with the contrast arrows but an untrained eye so I am not 100% sure.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks

Can you ask for an aset image or an idealscope image?

Have you seen the grading report?

If you plug the angles etc. into the HCA tool, it will give an assessment of light performance.

41.5 = color entrapment which is not desirable.

Most reasonably cut GIA EX diamonds with sane TB/CA/PA will display arrows that respond well with fire to direct sunlight.

Yeap I have seen 34/41.4 or 41.6. It was Cartier. Decent. But I have seen better ones.

41.2 and 41.5 degrees are small differences numerically but it's a big difference for a Pavilion Angle.

Unfortunately not available unless I purchase a scope and ask to see for myself.

Yep, it is a gia triple ex.
When I spun it around in the sunlight it was showing one or two arrows and various flares of fire at a time.

I guess the thing I am worried about is can I get better without paying extra or taking that risk and just continue looking. L

i know these two key stats are very important but imho you might need to look at all the stats to see assess the performance of a stone? like the other posts said, an aset image would be super helpful.

after thinking about it I have decided not to proceed with the diamond and will start looking at blue nile and whiteflash and victor canera.

Or any other alternatives that are in Sydney Australia?
