Hi ladies,

Do any of your have photos of your 15/16pointers on a 5.5 size ring? I have five stones (3.5mm wide each) that I would like to set into a wedding band, and I was wondering if I should buy more stones for fuller coverage, or if the 5 stones are enough. This will be worn with a halo split shank ER and a thin stacking band. If you have photos of it with a halo ring, I would be ever more grateful, TIA!

That would be plenty of coverage. A ring size of 5.5 means a diameter of ~16 mm. 5 x 3.5 = 17.5 mm. Taking into account the slight curvature at the top of the ring, you should end up with complete visible coverage.

I honestly think you need to go find one to try on, because my feeling is that 16 pointers may be too large to wear with a split shank halo ring. It is good you are planning to wear a spacer band, though. I have a 5 stone band with around 20 pointers that I wear alone, not with an e-ring, so 16 pointers wouldn't reach quite as far around(I also wear 5.5). I have pictures with a lot of bands, but I unfortunately do not have one with 15 pointers. I will attach a pic of my band which is basically a 25 pointer in the middle and the stones slightly decrease in size to maybe 17-18 points on the ends.

my ER is set a little higher, so I'm that plus the spacer band will help keep it from being too much to sit flush (I think that is what you mean?). I will try and get into a B&M and have a look, because my jeweler didn't even have one in stock, but i was hoping to be inspired to buy the extra stones 'just in case'.

This is on a size 6 ring but my finger is more a 5-5.5. They are 16 pointers.
