How much should I expect to pay for a platinum setting (for a 2ct asscher) with pave on the sides?

Something like this:

Depends on the total carat weight, color and clarity of the diaonds used in the mounting and whether the ring is a designer piece or not, we seem to recall that the last time we sold the mounting pictured above it was about $4K give or take a nickel but as we've indicated we're going off of memory, we don't have access to the price list at the moment

Hi Jimmy,
The price will depend on many factors. BF just bought me a fairly similar plat/pave setting, with the center stone being about 1.3ct. My fingers are small though, and the band is very, very thin, so the price for the wedding set (e ring setting and wedding band) in a size four was just a bit north of $1,000. The setting that you're looking at seems to have much bigger side diamonds, in fact,I can't tell if they're really pave, it might be better classifed as channel set, but I'm no expert here. In any case, my point is that price varies widely for what you're looking at. I was originally looking at pave-ish Tacoi settings, which started at about $3500 . . . good luck!

PS - if you let us know what region you are in, others may have suggestions on B&M stores that carry great settings. I think settings are harder to purchase/browse online unless you want something very simple.

As clarification for those who are trying to figure this out... The setting style is actually a bit of an illusion... The diamonds are prong set in a channel style groove. Look really close and you might be able to see the prongs in both versions of the ring styles pictured.

I really do not want to spend 3-4k on the setting....I'd prefer under 2k. I guess that means I want pave and not channel set stones on the side (as in the first picture). Anyone have pictures of pave setting?

I'm not crazy about this setting, but here is an example of pave within your budget.

Check out my thread in Show me the Ring with is A.Jaffe's thin pave set rings...they are about $1000 each in platinum (e-ring and wedding band). I saw them locally at a jeweler, others do carry them and online as well I think.

The picture shows a round stone in the setting, but a girl on here recently got a Pear set into the AJ band and loved it. The pictures she posted were great. So I would assume they could also do an Asscher.

My picture of rounds in AJ:
