Copy Cat of Mochi''s Peach Toum Ring

Mochi, I didn''t ask you before I did this because I am pretty sure you wouldn''t mind!

When I saw Mochi''s beautiful peacy tourm ring I thought immediately about the Malaya I got from Gene. So I went ahead and ordered the same LOGR ring in WG, with upgrade diamonds. Got the ring yesterday, and I have been playing with it all day today (although I am suppose to be working from home and to take care of my sick daughter - so guilty!) The ring is not set yet, and I DO NOT know who to go to in my area. Gonna wait for the arrival of couple of other rings, then settle the matter all together.

First, here is the loose stone. It has the typical color shift of Malaya, from peach to reddish pink. Under my kitchen light, it looks like a pink diamond and very dispersive. (I heard there is a Malaya fever going around?

)

Very pretty Yingh. I just ordered that setting in rose gold with upgraded diamonds right after I saw your pics. Between you and Mochi, you both have me sold on this setting. How are the upgraded diamonds?

They are about 1mm each but appear to have decent brilliance. I am very glad I did the upgrade!

I really like this setting. It''s unique, simple yet graceful enough to be dressed up or down. I have been playing with it all day, and subletting to my other stones - working on the pictures right now.

I followed mochi's hand cupping technique today and was able to capture a little more of the pink color. Enjoy!

Ooohhhhh....it looks better without the milgrain. Their milgrain looked uneven and the bezel thick, but this one looks quite contemporary. I like it.
