I just saw Jonathan post this on Facebook:

"Wow wow... talk about transitions. Ok... just so ya'll know I am no longer serving retail clients via Good Old Gold anymore as I am transitioning into the wholesale front and that is very demanding of my time right now. I'll always be a support for my family behind the scenes of course but it felt odd to help a client in the store yesterday for the last time. Will I be back? I don't think so but only God knows the future.

Besides this I just received our 2nd prototype of a brand new cut I've invented, in a very popular shape right now and it is literally the most beautiful diamond of its shape I've ever laid eyes on."

So Jon is basically leaving GOG to develop his August Vintage business! Congratulations, Jon! :appl:I am one of many who has directly benefited from your knowledge and love for beautifully cut stones, and I wish you much success in the future!

Big Congratulations Jon!!! Now who's going to do those fantastic videos we all love to watch:confused:

Wow!!! Congratulations!

Ah!! So exciting! Congrats to Rhino! Exciting future for all AVR lovers! :appl:

Any thoughts as to what shape the new prototype might be?

@Rhino

For how many readers / writers / buyers here, all we knew of the respective NJ store was the ghost of August Vintage Inc. ...

All the best !

Congratulations!! But I'm still not sure what this means for the AV line and Jon going forward.

Congratulations Jon!!! I hope your ventures are a great success! I can't wait to see the new prototype.

If you subscribe to the Good Old Gold videos posted on YouTube, then you will see a few prototype videos posted about 2 weeks ago of the upcoming AV Asscher. Looks pretty awesome. :appl:

Greetings PS friends and family,

Gosh ... perhaps the biggest changes in my life going on but IMHO all for the best.

Yea ... moving on as I'm being called/pulled/pushed into another "facet" of life and business. Things are still in their infancy, relatively speaking but lots happening. There will many new AVC's coming in the next few weeks with AVR's to follow (God willing sooner than later) and some longstanding friends who will help me distribute online. My aim is to be as strong as a backbone I can to those whom I work with and look to take service to a whole new level on the wholesale front which I'll do my best to do on the AVInc site, YT channel and here on the forums as I may have a little more time to be online here.

Big Congratulations Jon!!! Now who's going to do those fantastic videos we all love to watch:confused:

The "Rhino's School of Rock" videos will remain on my current YouTube channel, however I may be publishing all new content to a new channel which I'll announce on the new August Vintage Facebook/Instagram pages.

Any thoughts as to what shape the new prototype might be?

This will be announced in the coming week via the AV Facebook/Insta also. I also received confirmation from my friends at AGS that it indeed does have "Ideal" optics. ;) Of this I am fired up about! Today I'll be shooting video of it alongside of what is currently being offered out there so people can know what to expect. ;)

Hehe... nope. HOWEVER since you brought it up ... I am at this moment having 2 other cuts/shape prototypes being cut which I have not yet received. One of those is a new August Vintage Asscher featuring bold broad reflections in a step cut via my friends at Amora and another design I'm excited about in a another shape that is sorely needed with regards to consistency. I don't have hard products in my hands yet of these but I should have within the next month or so.

Can't thank you guys enough for your moral support during this transitional time for me.

Warm regards,
Jonathan/Rhino

Yes. Between the store & starting up this new business I've had so little time for anything else. It will be nice to return to my roots. Gosh ... here since 2001! I'm feeling a little old! LOL

I'm honored my friend. Dave ... think back to when we all got started here. What a journey. And yes ... my visions to breathe new life into existing cuts as well as introducing new ones is on the forefront of my goals and its almost like I've been divinely lead into the paths of some great people who are helping to make these dreams a reality. Lots to come. ;-) One of them will be revealed as early as this coming week.
