My Xmas present for myself! : ) Brazilian Paraiba and Mahenge Spinel. Love these colors together with the yellow gold. One trick was to ask my jeweler to cutout the sides of the bezel to let light under the stone, makes them glow more.

I can't seem to capture the color correctly, but here's my 3.7ct Zambian emerald (the seller disclosed the stone has been treated) I got for Christmas. It's 8.2 x 11mm set in 18k yg with diamond traps size 3.5 ring.

Love the idea of cutting out the sides of the bezel. I have a similar project on the go and want to bezel set a spessartite but allow light in to max the sparkle. Thanks for the inspiration.

I recently (and FINALLY) got around to pulling the trigger on setting a garnet I’d purchased from Litnon several months back into a preloved Sholdt ring I purchased (also several months back) from another PSer. Additionally, as I had my other custom Sholdt setting (which housed my previous WF ES diamond) sitting empty, I decided to reset my blue spinel in it, which thankfully only required a tiny bit of reworking of the prongs to fit perfectly. I sent both rings & stones off to Sholdt about two weeks ago, they arrived back in my hot little hands today, and I’m super happy with both!
