Got my peach sapphire today from Stag & Finch; it’s really difficult to photograph it well! This is the storm light cut. It’s really beautiful. It reflects all kinds of subtle colors. Packing it up for the jeweler.

This is the stone I was referring to, and I am getting one in 8mm from Gary as he has more roughs available.

Don't know when I shall have it in hand for setting yet though.

It will be thousands cheaper than the earth-mined equivalent that I have in mind, so what's not to like?!

The one shown is a 9mm and mine will be smaller at 8mm, as I would like the finished ring to be a everyday piece rather than an occasional piece.

Thinking of setting it with baguette Moissy sides, probably just 2 steps in a 5-stone ring, Art Deco style.

Omg!! That's going to be gorgeous!!!

I honestly was not looking to get more CS this year, however, a similar and smaller stone popped up in his FB online auction page and I lost out on that one. So I went to check his FB page to see if he has similar offerings and found this one!

It does not break the bank, and the cutting and colour pops at me!

Well pictures are not amazing but it shows a couple of the different shades my accident stone can be. I ordered what was meant to be the very light 8mm Arctic blue from Stag and Finch. Well it turned out my stone ended up being a between colour. It is closer to the mid range periwinkle blue that they sell. I decided to just take it anyway because I still liked the colour even though it wasn't what I had expected!

Also just a note. In one of the pictures I was wearing a very very hot pink t shirt. You can see it in the picture lmao.

This is so gorgeous! Amazing color, and beautiful setting!

I am in the middle of a project setting a peach sapphire from S&F, cut in the storm light pattern. I’m already thinking about my next project. I love these blues, but think I would like the lab alexandrite in either the hanami cut, or the squatty teardrop pear cut. Too many choices!!

I love your ring!

Oh man! I can't wait to see how your project ends up turning out! Are they setting it or someone else? I love those squatty little pears too!

And thank you! I love both! Though admittedly at a later date I may make them re-shank completely, separate the baguettes, and make a new head and reattach because it was an estate peice. I can tell whoever originally contructed it attached them a little bit crooked. But I really loved that i could for once put my money where my mouth was and give a setting a home that already existed in the world :D

I will post pictures once I have my project. The sapphire is for a mokume gane bezel ring, in red gold “fire” palette. I thought the peach would complement the colors, like a flame.

Your sapphire looks great where it is. Post pictures if you rehome it!

My 4.74ct 8.1 x 8.1 x 7.7mm lab Sapphire from Gary B of Finewater Gems has been finished, glamour shots from Gary, and this one deserves to be set with lab/MMDs baguettes and in 14K WG!

I was finally fast enough to pick up a lab stone from Precision Gem. I am never quick enough! I’m so excited for it to arrive. Also, I can’t get over the price of these lab stones! E427E5B7-E0F5-49D5-9983-398A1DAC3E27.jpeg

Please come back and post pics when you get it!! I would love to see it!!

I know nothing about rubies, but outside it looks really beautiful. Inside it’s kind of meh. I’m such a size queen, 8mm just feels little on my finger. I’m sure after it’s set, I’ll feel differently. 38E26180-A2DB-4222-9B76-C6327E95DF2F.jpeg

That looks beautiful! :kiss2: I have a lab ruby that is a bit meh inside too, but I think it has to do with what lighting you have. When I walk into my bathroom or an elevator it lights up like a Christmas tree.

Another beauty from Gary at Finewater Gems, a 3.01ct emerald cut Ruby, with a 25% site-wide Black Friday/Cyber Monday discount! It is 10.1 x 5.7 x 4.7 mm, and I am most likely to set it as a 5-stone with baguettes on the side.

Got my 9mm pink sapphire from Gary from Finewater Gems. I got it set by a local jewelry shop. The setting is elegant and the sapphire is very shiny under both sunlight and indoor light! My GF loved it as her Christmas gift!

I also uploaded a video of it on youtube
