E-ring and wedding ring is a mix of G/H with the biggest stone being a G.

I also have very tiny diamond studs in a G and a dainty cluster ring and necklace both made of tiny stones in G color. The largest stone in these is only 2.5mm but there is a bunch of them.

Now - I am looking to buy 1 ctw studs and would like to make them as affordable as possible without sacrificing cut. What color can I reasonably go to before it will look off in comparison to my other jewelry. I’m not likely to wear them all at once but I want to be able to mix and match. Is J a terrible idea? I?

Everything is in rose gold and studs would be simple basket 4-prong setting.

I would not go lower than H.

If you go with super ideal cut and they are in your ears, I think I/J is fine. Especially in that size.

My studs are I and J colour ACAs and to me are super white.

Can you tell which one is I and which one is J based on comparing them?

For .5 ct each earrings, I think H - I is a safe range for most people. My studs are just under 2 ctw and are GIA H and I and they are plenty white to me. Face up, I can’t tell a difference and even from the side they need to be right next to each other and in the right lighting for me to see a very slight difference in color.

I agree with this. They are in your ears and not being compared side by side so I think I/J would be a great choice and you can save some money that way too. Super ideal cut is the way to go.
