Was it you who's the one thinking about getting it? I inquired but Eric informed me I'm second in line. Even though I have a 2 ct cobalt already, I think this one is worth collecting. They are pretty rare in the first place and one can never get enough pure blue spinels.

That is a gorgeous blue color! Although I feel like if you''re going for color alone, it''d probably be cheaper to get a heated sapphire of that blue since I hear these cobalt blue spinels get very pricey very fast due to rarity?

As I am a collector of spinels, this is the very reason I love them. Nice blue sapphires are a dime a dozen compared to a pretty cobalt blue spinel.

However, an unheated blue sapphire of the same colour will cost more than a blue spinel of comparable colour.
