Hi OP, the diamond you linked doesn't have the "eye clean" stamp, is it though? Did you call and ask? I hope you have this selection on reserve for you, in case of lurkers. An H/Si1 in this size is certainly drool worthy and I love the setting and matching band. You did great, just confirm eye clean.

Did she pick out this setting or you? I'm not too sure about the prongs. In my opinion more delicate prongs would look better, but it's definitely a personal choice.

hi, i havent called WF yet to confirm. i have to assume that since it doesn't say eye clean, it probably isnt. the ags report looks pretty good though as far as clarity is concerned. if i were to pull the trigger on this setting, i would definitely call WF and see how eye clean it is. thanks!

she didnt pick out this particular setting but she prefers a solitaire over any halos or 3 stone settings. she also likes the diamonds along the band. the thick prongs was one of my first concerns as well, if i could find the exact same setting with more delicate prongs, i would most definitely go with that. if anyone knows of any, im open to it! thanks.

Hi sbk,

That's a beautiful diamond, if it checks out as eye clean to your specifications, I think you definitely have a winner. I am not keen on those prongs either, how about something like these?

That came out beautifully, what a clever and resourceful Hubby you have, congratulations on your marriage!! It just shows that if a setting is almost but not quite what is wanted, it can pay to ask the vendor if some modifications can be made, fantastic ring!!

My husband custom designed for me a modified version of the 'Harmony' engagement ring and it is amazing ;-) with delicate prongs!

Just thought I would share so you have some more ideas!

just wondering if your husband still had the exact dimensions or the paperwork when he designed it? I was hoping to base my ring off his modified version!

Also as you consider a split-shank / double band type of setting for the ER, may want to consider how you (and she!) like the looks of it next to a WB

And when doing pave on the shank, make sure you know her correct ring size (esp. with a band it can get tighter).
