Hi there,
So, I found two diamonds. The same carat weight and the same price. But one looks a little bit bigger than another.
I am attaching both HCA reports. Please give me your opinion why you like one over another one. Thank youphoto_2019-07-07_18-12-07.jpg photo_2019-07-07_18-11-58.jpg

Reject the first one bc it scores over 2 on the HCA. Ignore the fact that it looks a little bigger....it likely has angles that aren't complimentary and therefore won't perform as well.

The issue with the one that scores below 2 is that it's a little deeper than we would recommend. 62.8 is deeper than our usual cut off of 62.4. not a total deal breaker, but it also has other values outside of recommended. 33 crown doesn't fall within 34-35, and 41.2 is over 40.6-40.8.

So overall, the one that scores under 2 has potential, but I would want to see an ASET/IS to confirm performance.

It looks bigger cause u have 2 extremes, ones a wide stone, while the other is a deep stone.

Just to verify: a stone with HCA score 0.9 is just as good as a stone with score 1.9?

Yes, because the HCA is a rejection tool, not a decision tool. Anything over 2 = reject. Anything under 2 = consider.

So consider both the .9 and the 1.9 if you like them.

ok. great. thank you
