Isn't it true that scientists think certain animals can see much more than we can, in the same way that dogs can smell more than we can? If so, perhaps come animals can see these diamonds better than us!

You can see many colors in some candle flames.
Perhaps this is somehow diffraction by a zillion microscopic diamonds that depends on the different heat in various parts of the flame.
