Ooo I like this game!

I especially love making rainbows with Ella (that’s my diamonds name) when on airplanes. They go everywhere like a disco ball
I like that ring - can you show more pictures of it, please?

You guys have some really cool rainbow pictures!! It’s cloudy now, but when the sun comes out I’m going to see if I can do the fire/rainbow combo and different colors on different facets. :D

These pics are for you, @Dancing Fire — “pop rocks” mode due to lighting — in real life I was very self conscious about the ring and the fire it was throwing off! But this was what the camera did with it.:naughty: I didn’t want to muck up your thread with pics of my ring! I can’t wait for you to add some pics here when you get the CBI and camera to play nicely together..

Oh my gosh you guys, I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed reading this thread! :kiss2:

@KristinTech, I laughed so much at your spiral petals followed by your realisation it's a hall of mirrors of your blinds and then the almost horror movie quality of it! Totally delighted! I literally laughed out loud, thankfully nobody can hear me! =)2

Thank you all for the joy. :geek2:

Fire is the most magical of diamond properties. Here's a little twist on the theme of this thread that demonstrates how the observer physically determines the perception. This photo (courtesy of Yoram @diagem) shows a spectral fan from a diamond arriving at the observers eye. Depending on which specific wavelengths are 'clipped' by the pupil a different color will be perceived.

Fun thread!
I had to get in my wayback machine to find this photo. I never focused on seeing the rainbow before, but there it was ; )

Ok I tried again to get a rainbow on a facet or two, not just over all fire. Haven’t had a lot of sunshine to play in lately. Please pardon the dirty ring!
