I am eyeing off a bezel setting that will fit a stone that is about 7.5mm+ wide. My stone is only 6.4mm. Is there anyway that a jeweller can make a smaller stone fit in a bezel setting?
Depends on good they are. To make it fit an additional mm I would think they would just make the bezel thicker. It will throw off the look of the proportions. Just realize you might not like the final result.
Thanks for the reply SB621…I also thought they may just thicken the bezel which I think I would like as I love a heavy set bezel look. Just didn't know if it was possible with the setting already made previous.
