So I have been emailing back and forth with the folks at James Allen.
She absolutely confirmed that I can only submit for idealscopes once up to three stones. They must be submitted at the same time.
I have the .80 J on hold and asked for her opinion on the four Ks that were suggested. The customer service rep liked two of the 4 Ks and said that it does pose a problem.
The J on hold is not available to be examined until the 30th and they can send me idealscope after the 30th. While the two K diamonds are available now. They will not allow me to hold all three of them until the J is avail.
Her final input was that that diamond on hold should have an excellent idealscope result. Of course she said that it shouldn't be the deciding factor and that the basic geometry of the diamond dictates its light performance etc. and that this J diamond has the preferred numbers for table, depth, crown and pavilion. She said that personally and professionally (studying to be a gemologist with GIA) she would pick up that J diamond thats on hold in a heartbeat. Over the Ks that she "likes" out of the bunch. Now she is a sales person, she did suggest to buy it now and if I don't like it I can return it with full refund and no cost even with shipping.
1. Do I just wait then for the J to be available for the idealscope?
2. Do I just purchase the J?
3. Do I find some other stones later in the week to submit with the J?
4. FOMO stresses me out of course.
5. Did we like the Ks that much were we should still be considering them? If I submit for Idealscopes for the Ks now I will not be able to request it for the J is what I am understanding but not understanding...cause that just does not make sense to me.
Help me PSers!
Thanks so much for everything up to this point!
