Hi looking for studs very small - .22 ctw.

I went through most of the stud thread only to find one person who had something smaller in the .16 per earring range.

If you have any photos could you post please.

Thanks

I have .30 ctw and I must have small ears or something b/c I think they look good (not saying I am not dying for an upgrade!)

I have .5tw and maybe around .25tw right next to each other in my ears. No pics (I''m at work) but I''ll post some when I get home!

Hi Lisa! I started a thread in jewelry pieces that''s called "Small Diamond Studs - a couple of questions" - last I checked it was somewhat near the top, and there you can see some discussion on where to find smaller studs and a photo of Urseberry''s gorgeous .33s from WF. I also have a chart that I made for DH that I''ll go over and post if it helps - it shows the pricepoint and stats that I found for (mostly) PS vendors in 1/4 ctw and 1/3 ctw.

Here are mine. The princess is .23 and pronged, I don''t know what the round is but it''s bezeled, so looks larger than it is. Hope that helps!

PS, ears look eery photographed...

Thank you Tacori, Sunnyd, & Elmorton.

I''ll check the stud thread

.

And yes ears do look eerie up-close.

I''m supposed to see a pair of pre-owned Tiffany studs .22 ctw. tomorrow in person I vs2 (if this even matters at this size).

I''ll let you know how it goes, I''m getting so paranoid about purchasing second-hand diamonds (T &Co. doesn''t put reg. #''s on the small stones so I don''t really have anyway of knowing if they are the real deal unless I take them to an appraiser).

I should just buy from WF but they don''t have anything under .25 or so. per earring custom.

Thanks,

Lisa

Is there a reason you want to go custom? (ie, prong style, backs, posts, etc?) WF has .25 ready-set-go studs in 4 prong and in the martini style - I think what I''ve learned is that the most important thing for this size is the cut, and everyone seems happiest with WF. Since diamonds in this size range are technically melee (I believe the GIA only certs stones that are .25 and up, that''s why diamond searches don''t produce .10, .15, etc), I''m having a hard time finding cut information from most online vendors - that''s why in the end I want to go with WF - I know that the cut will be good quality.

Let us know how it goes with the tiffany ones!!

Hi, yes I figured that by going custom I could get ACA stones from WF -- otherwise its their expert selection I think in the presets.

Again, at this size it probably won''t matter to much.

Thanks for your consolidated info. on your thread - wow that took a lot of work.

One of the websites shows the sizes on a drawn earlobe and that was very helpful. .22 is small.

I''m now thinking of going to .75 ctw. Thanks, Elmorton for throwing me a curve ball
