call for emerald experts... some JA finds

Hello I guess I am in a crazy step cut diamond search mode this weekend. I already searched high and low for asscher, and here are some findings for emerald. I really appreciate your input!

I'm liking the 1.01. Big bright flashes and chunky steps. but I tend to like chunky ECs. I'm sure all the EC people will chime in and offer more suggestions.

Glaring, carbon inclusion on 1.01HVS:


0.71FVS:


1.08HSI:


JbG:


My first choice is JbG. My second choice is 0.71FVS.

The other two have dark steps, face on, and 1.01 has a dark, carbon inclusion in a place where a prong or any setting modification cannot reach or hide.

1.08HSI has glaring clarity issues, which is unfortunate because it’s a better cut stone.

Matthews1127, I wonder if you can give me some diamond education - how to check glaring clarity issue. I looked at the pic you posted above but couldn't quite get it. I am so new at step cut stones and I appreciate the learning opportunity

This is the glaring, carbon inclusion in 1.01:

The SI2 stone has obvious clouds & feathers that are clearly viewed, and reflected inside the stone. That is how it got its SI2 clarity grade. It’s very disappointing because it is beautifully cut.
The carbon inclusion in 1.01 is also disappointing due to it being beautifully cut, as well. Very sad. Otherwise, beautiful EC’s.
